Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Agnes; sons, Freddie of Vancouver, B.C. and Harvey (Daria) daughters, Colleen (Lorne) Vandersteen and Kim (Steve) Milani of Palm Harbor, Florida. He was predeceased by his son John Murray in 1997 and two brothers, Walter (Sonny) and Bill. Fred was born May 15, 1913 and raised in Portage la Prairie. He met his loving wife Agnes in Windsor, Ont., together they shared close to 63 years. Fred had numerous careers as an entrepreneur, contractor and politics, he was the mayor and alderman of St. Vital in 1960-1964. He was a fun-loving man with a great sense of humour, he made many friends through his various career paths. He always had a love of animals, there were always pets in the house. Our family wishes to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. J. Regehr and the outstanding staff at Donwood Manor for their wonderful care and compassion, and to all of our friends and family for their support.
