Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MARY CHEMERIKA (nee MOYLAN) After a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, January 30, 2000, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Kathleen Mary Chemerika passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 76 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Herb (Leslie) Chemerika, Eileen (Juergen) Buess, Dave Chemerika, Idella Francey, James (Rock) Chemerika, Rosemarie (Garry) Batenchuk, Cathy (Denny) Signore and her friend Jack Sr. (our Dad) 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Kathleen was predeceased by her son Jack Chemerika; granddaughter Alice Batenchuk; son-in-law Wayne Francey and her husband Victor Sobotkiewicz. Mom was born in London, England and came to Canada as a War Bride. Our Mom worked outside the home while raising eight children, yet she still found time to volunteer at Northwood Community Centre receiving from the mayors office a merit award in recognition of her outstanding contribution and exemplary citizenship. Bowling, bingo and our family outings were Moms favorites. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, February 1 at 7:45 p.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Peters Church with Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H.V.F. officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Sobotkiewicz, Phillip Chemerika, Donald Chemerika, David Chemerika and Jack Chemerika. Active pallbearers will be Derrick Sobotkiewicz, Greg Batenchuk, Garry Batenchuk, Tomas Francey, Justin Sobotkiewicz and Anthony Signore. If so desired, donations may be made in Kathleens memory to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg R3C 9Z9. Special thanks to her second family, the Vanderlips and the staff on the fifth floor, Palliative Care Unit at Seven Oaks Hospital. Our Love, Our Mom Into each mother, God has placed a bit of Himself. Thus it is through our mothers love that we first realize the love of God. >From the first tender moment in our lives when we are dependent upon her care, she gives freely and completely of those moving qualities of patience and understanding and Love with which God has endowed her.
