Gustav was a long time employee of The Manitoba Sugar Co. and upon retirement lived year long at Hunt Lake, Man. His joys were his dog and feeding birds. He was predeceased by his second wife Bonnie (nee Knowels). Gustav is survived by son Gustav H. Ellert and daughter-in-law Edna; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren, Debra (Jim) Blain, Christopher and Michelle; and Donna (Randy) James and Kristine.
