Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL GEORGINA KELSCH (nee STROBEL) Passed away suddenly in the Concordia Hospital on Friday, January 28, 2000 at the age of 72 years. Ethel was predeceased by her husband Ted in 1974; her parents Leonard and Georgina and by her brother Leonard. She is survived by her loving family, children, Richard (Adele), Linda Badger, Debbie (Steve) Gregory and Wendy Smith; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Evelyn (Todd) and Jessie; Nicole and Ian; Gerri-Joyce and Darren; Kevin and Corey; her great-grandchildren, Theresa (Stephanie), Angelica, twins Theodore and Corey, T.J., Damian, Jeremy and Allison; her sister Eva (Alfred) Lelliott, their family Kristine (Norm), Cindy and Marty (Carri) and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ethel was born on April 27, 1927 in Winnipeg. She was employed for six years at the Canadian Wheat Board, until she married Ted in 1950. For 26 years, Ethel was fortunate to be able to devote her time raising her children and maintaining a happy, loving household. In 1976 she returned to work at Kays Wholesale until her retirement. She loved to read, play cards, do jigsaw puzzles, play bingo and spend time with her family at the lake. Ethel was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. Being an upbeat, positive woman, Ethel always lent a helping hand to friends in need. We will all miss her dearly. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Emergency Department at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has already taken place. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m. from Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m. also from Green Acres. The interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
