FELICJA NOWAK (nee KAZNOWSKA) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and baba, Felicja Nowak, aged 81, on Sunday, January 30, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Felicja was born March 28, 1918 in Vienna, Austria, the only child of a career army officer and homemaker. Soon after the family moved to Przemysl, Poland. In 1941 she went to Germany to work on a farm and that is where she met her husband. In July of 1947 she gave birth to a son named Stan. In May of 1949 her husband left for Canada to find a better life and she and her son followed in January 1950. After a few years they finally settled in St. Boniface and their daughter Krys was born. Felicja was involved in her parish church (St. Andrew Bobola) for many years, singing in the choir, rosary prayer group and the C.W.L. Surviving to mourn her loss are her husband of 55 years Stanislaw; son Stan; daughter Krys; son-in-law Courtney and grandchildren, Kristian and Mark McMillan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Parish, 541 Marion St. with prayers and viewing at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
