JOHN WIELGOSH May 6, 1908 - January 30, 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Sunday, January 30, 2000 at the East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. John will be lovingly remembered by children, Joanne (Howard), John L. (Virginia), and Allen (Teresa). He will be sadly missed as a precious grandpa, by his grandchildren, Vicki Obarski (Patrick), Timothy Wright (Patti), Jody Wielgosh (Lisa), Christopher and friend (Cara) great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jason, Joshua, Jacob, Brooke Julia; one sister Bertha Wilgosh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his wife Julia; mother and father; brothers, Peter, Dave, Louie, Julius and sisters, Frances Gurnik and Leona Wielgosh. John was a proud member of the Ophir Masonic Lodge No. 112 in Beausejour, being its Worshipful Master in 1958 and also a member of Khartum Shrine Temple in Winnipeg. John was Beausejours first Co-Op manager from 1950-1960. Johns cremated remains will be interred in the family plot at a later date. God looked upon His garden And found an empty space Then He looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest Gods garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best. God saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb He closed your weary eyes And whispered "Peace to Thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you To Gods garden, your new home. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at East Gate Lodge, Shamrock Unit for the excellent care offered to John and his family during his residence there. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Johns memory may be made to the East Gate Lodge Memorial Fund or to the Ophir Lodge No. 112, Beausejour, or to a charity of ones choice.
