GOLDEY PALANSKY It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved mother and grandmother on Monday, January 31, 2000 at Victoria Hospital at the age of 91 years. Born on October 18, 1908, on the Lipton Colony in Saskatchewan. She lived most of her married life with her beloved Joe in Medicine Hat, AB. After his passing she lived with her sister Pat in Montreal. She is survived by her cherished son Sydney and his partner Sandy. She leaves to mourn her grandchildren, Sharna and Kenny Baron, Sandy Green, Bruce and Naomi Palansky, Shelley and Martin Simms. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her dear sister Pat Bloomfield and her many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 2 at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue. Burial will take place in Medicine Hat. Shiva will be observed at Building 2, suite 206 65 Swindon Way. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Goldey and Joseph Palansky Memorial Fund for Jewish Education at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba (phone 477-7525).
