W. CLARE FARROW After a full and fruitful life, in his 93rd year, Clare, formerly of New Toronto, died Monday, January 31, 2000 at Wasaga Beach Seniors Residence. Loyal employee of Anaconda Copper for nearly 50 years. Founding member of Lakeshore Lions and more recently a member of Sunnylea Kiwanis. He loved his golf at Mississaugua Golf Club for more than 50 years. A faithful member of Century United Church. Clare was a dedicated politician and served the Lakeshore area over a span of 50 years on the public school boards. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy Mander of nearly 60 years, and will be missed by Grace Underhill. Predeceased by brothers, Claude and Ross and sister, Ella; survived by Orma and Marjorie. Loving son, Ron and Lynda of Scarborough; daughter, Lynn and George Thompson of Ridgetown, and daughter, Beth Dea of Wasaga Beach. Especially adored by his 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Wasaga Beach Seniors Residence. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Avenues, at 14th St., 416-259-3705), on Wednesday, February 2, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A service will be held on Thursday, February 3, at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel. Interment to follow at Springcreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts are invited to the Canadian National Institute of the Blind.
