TIMOTHY CHARLES PETERS Peacefully, on Friday, January 14, 2000 following a long struggle with leukemia, Tim passed away at the age of 45 years. Tim is survived by his loving wife Veronica; son, Kirk; daughter, Tamara and Corey; grandson, Conner; his mother Mrs. Grace Anderson and husband Carl; siblings, Dale, Fred (Kathleen), Charlene, Glen (Beth) and "Brother" John (Janice) mother-in-law Mrs. Olga Herechuk; brother-in-law, Stan (Donna) sisters-in-law, Gloria (John), Stella (Dennis) and Grace (Brad), plus numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Gordon and father-in-law Ted. Tim was born, raised and educated in Winnipeg. He worked for four years with the C.N.R. On June 10, 1976, Tim became a member of the City of Winnipeg Police Service where he remained as an active member for 24 years. He enjoyed woodworking, music, weightlifting, Kung Fu, wine making and above all, spending time with his family and friends. A Celebration of Tims life will be held on Tuesday, January 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Chaplain Trish Penner officiating. Special thanks to our friends, family, co-workers, neighbours and Doctors and Staff of GD-6 and MICU at the Health Science Centre for all your support during a very difficult time. Thank-you also to Chaplain Trish and Orit Weber for lending an ear and very special thanks to Dr. McConnell. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in Tims memory to the Leukemia Research and Infectious Diseases Research, Cancer Care Manitoba, MacCharles Unit, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9. God looked around His garden, And found an empty space, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He knew the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of ¶arrangements, 586-8044.
