ALAN MOLLISON Suddenly, on Tuesday, February 1, 2000 at his home, Alan Mollison, aged 84 years, of Winnipeg, formerly of Argyle, beloved husband of Ruth. Born and raised in Argyle, Alan joined the RCAF in 1941 and served with Eastern Air Command until his discharge in 1946. Alan returned home on furlough in 1945 to marry his childhood sweetheart, Ruth Currie, in Stonewall. Following his discharge, he and Ruth made their home in Winnipeg. Alan worked as a mechanic for several years before joining Crescent Creamery where he earned his power engineers certificate. He left the Creamery in 1980 to enjoy and long and happy retirement with his family. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Valerie of Winnipeg; son, John; daughter-in-law, Myrene and grandsons Ian and Brian of Saskatoon, Sask., and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall on Friday, February 4, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Mary Best will officiate. The Service will conclude at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, in care of the arrangements.
