DONNA SCOTT WILSON (BRISLEY)
Date of Passing: Jan 31, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNA SCOTT WILSON (nee BRISLEY) After a brief illness, Donna passed away peacefully in Halifax, NS., January 31, 2000 at 71 years of age. She will be lovingly and forever missed by her husband Roy, her sons Scott, Derek and Michael, and her daughters-in-law Kelly, Pauline, and Cheryl. She was a wonderful grandmother to Sean, Nathan, Mitchell, and Matthew, and will remain always cherished in their hearts. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Macleod and her parents Myrtle and William Brisley. Donna will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends from coast to coast, and especially those who gather each year at her summer home at Wanasing Beach. We will always remember "Mom" resting in her lawn chair looking out over the water, looking out over the children at play, soaking up the sunshine, running sand through her toes, taking the occasional cruise on the Tigershark and long slow walks out in the water always ending with a cooling dip in her funny bathing cap. Whether enjoying family, friends, sunsets or bonfires at the cottage, or the lazy afternoons in her gazebo in Moncton doing crossword puzzles with Dad, she always found the most enjoyment in the simple pleasures - her family whom she treasured dearly, her blossoming flowerbeds, or her easy uncluttered life "at the beach", each one a tribute to the loving, caring person she was. We will miss you and love you always, dear grandmother, wife, mother and friend ... you are always in our hearts. According to Donnas wishes, cremation has taken place with a service to be held in Moncton, NB. and at Wanasing Beach at a later date. Donations in Donnas memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation. Most sincere "thanks" to Moms doctors and nurses in Moncton and Halifax who made her final days with us as comfortable as possible.
