Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD WILMOT TURNER Edward Turner has departed this world and joined his beloved wife Hanna (nee Berg) on January 31, 2000, at his home in Kelowna, BC at the age of 80 years. Edward was born in Winnipeg Manitoba on December 23, 1919 to Mary Elizabeth Turner (nee Fulsher) and John W. Turner. He was predeceased by his wife Hanna in 1991 and his sister Emily Ryder in 1949. Surviving are his children Ken (Suzanne) Turner of Montreal, PQ, Keith (Doreen) Turner of Waterloo, ON, Nancy (Terry) Hamilton of Calgary, AB, Karen (Mike) Evans of Edmonton, AB and Terry (Marianne) Turner of Brampton, ON; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends. Edward worked his whole career with Canadian National Railway, in Winnipeg and Montreal, starting as a telegraph messenger and retiring as General Supervisor of Perishable Traffic in 1975. Edward was a veteran having served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, 8th Battalion, the First Special Service Force, 5th and 7th Armies (USA), and the Perth Regiment, in Italy, Germany, Holland and Britain. Friends may pay their respects at a Memorial Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4 at Days Garden Chapel, 1134 Bernard Ave., Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Cremation and arrangements in care of Days Garden Chapel, telephone 250-762-3040.
