MARGARET MERRICK (nee RUSSELL) On February 1, 2000, following a short illness, Margaret Merrick, beloved wife of Elgy, passed away peacefully in her home, with her family at her side. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Elgy; daughter Jan Sandell; son Larry (Charlene) grandchildren, Rob Sandell, Jana Slimon; (Jamey) and great-granddaughters, Vienna and Annika Slimon; and brothers, George and Jimmy Russell. Mom was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked in the Sales Audit Office for the T. Eaton Company in the early 1940s and for a brief period, at the Airport Salisbury House. Cremation has taken place and there will be a service of remembrance in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, on Friday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m., with Padre Stanley Millar presiding.
