Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ALLISON ELLIS (nee WATSON) It is with the greatest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Allison Ellis, beloved wife of Gordon, on January 28, 2000, in Weslaco, Texas. Allison and her adored twin brother Mac were born on November 11, 1924, at their parents home in Scotch Bay, on the shores of Lake Manitoba. Allison and Gordon married in 1951, raising their family and farming at Cordova, Manitoba. Left to cherish her memory besides Gordon, are her four children and their mates: Mac (Vivian), Betty (Brad Kelso), Sandra (Mike Teillet) and John (Pala Gillis) her grandchildren, Larisa, Martin and Cameron Ellis, Pamela and Curtis Kelso, Matthew and Ryann Teillet; her great-grandson Noah Matthews; her sisters, brothers and many relatives and friends from across Canada and the United States. Allison was predeceased by her parents, Esther (McKelvey) and Will Watson; her brothers, Mac and Edmund and her sister Diana Slator. Allisons passion was taking care of people, whether her family or others. She had a warm heart and a gentle nature, and was always ready to help someone in need. She graduated with the Award of Distinction as a Registered Nurse from the Misericordia School of Nursing in 1950, and took a lifelong pride in her profession, eventually finishing her career at the Neepawa District Hospital. She loved camping, golf, bridge and just being with people. A celebration of Allisons life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2000 in Neepawa United Church, Neepawa, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared Miss me, but let me go. Little Allie, your spirit brightened many lives. You will be sorely missed.
