NORMAN GUTKIN After a courageous battle with cancer, Norman passed away peacefully on February 1, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side. He will be lovingly missed by his devoted wife of 53 years Ruby and by his children, Caryl Kochen (Doug), Lori Gutkin-Merson (Sam) and Paula Emond (Allan). He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren, Michael, Karlee and Avery and his sister Bessie Boroditsky of Los Angeles and many nieces and nephews who all adored him. Norman was predeceased by his parents, his brother Bill, and his sisters, Lillian and Florence. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care and support and to the dedicated team involved in his care at the Cancer Clinic and Pain Control Unit at the Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Normans memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 4, 11:00 a.m. graveside Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.
