WALTER DUECK Suddenly on Tuesday, February 1, 2000, Walter, beloved husband of Nita Dueck, passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 61 years. Walter was a school teacher for 36 years, having retired from Rosenort Collegiate in 1997. He was active in retirement in construction work, substitute teaching, pursuing geneology research and enjoying his many interests. These included coffee with friends, reading, music, beaches and travelling. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth Dueck, and two infant brothers. Walter was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Nita; son Christopher and wife Gloria and their two children, Megan and Carter, daughter, Tanya and fiance Jason Berube; six brothers, two sisters and their spouses; mother-in-law as well as numerous friends and relatives. Walters funeral services will be held at Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church at Rosenort, Man., Friday, February 4, at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Rosenort Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the service to Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship. Fontaines Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.
