RHONDA LAVERNE GRIFFIN Suddenly on February 1, 2000 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Rhonda Griffin, aged 40 years, of Selkirk, MB. Rhonda leaves to mourn her untimely passing, Don; her daughter Alexis Rose; six sisters, Heather, Corrine (Jade), Wilma, Marilyn, Hazel (Ron) and Dawn (Doug), a brother Darwin (Toots) and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Myrtle; sisters, Valerie, Brenda and Yvonne and a brother Nicky. Rhonda was born at home in Lockport and later moved to Selkirk and attended school there. She was currently employed at Tudor Home in Selkirk. Rhonda loved children and her dream came true when she gave birth to Alexis Rose. She enjoyed camping and playing bingo and being with sister Heather and her children, who were her constant companions. She had a heart of gold and never missed a birthday. When she had Alexis she finally had her own little angel to devote her time to. She never went anywhere without her little girl. Prayers will be said on Friday (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. also in the chapel with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date in the St. Andrews Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for Alexis care of Cambrian Credit Union or the Tudor Home. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
