Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY MARY HUYGHE May 28, 1922 - February 2, 2000 It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing away of our beloved Mom, Nannie and Friend, Dorothy, at Concordia Personal Care Unit on Wednesday, February 2, 2000. Mom was predeceased by her husband and best friend of 45 years, Gerry in 1992. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Owen and George. Dorothy is survived by her children and grandsons, Carol Huyghe, Betty Newton (John, John Jr. and Mark) of Invermere, BC, Judy Beckel (Alan, Aaron and Tyler), Jenny Paul (J.J., Bjorn and Jayton) of Jasper, AB, Tom (Susan, Wes, Russ and Cody) of Minnedosa, MB. She is also survived by her sisters, Dedy, Joan and brother Jack. Dorothy was born May 28, 1922 in Matapedia, Bonaventure, Quebec, which she was always very proud of. Moms life could best be described as "Coffee was always on", "The door was always open". Mom always had time for you. She would sit down and really listen to you. She was a friend to everyone. Her family and friends were her world. She took great joy in her children and grandsons. Her heart and her home were always open and she left a lasting impression on all who knew her. We will remember her for her great laugh and loving nature. Prayers will be held on Friday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 300 Donalda Ave. with Br. Jorge Villegas, OFM, Cap. officiating. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery on Monday, February 7 at 10:00 a.m. An Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine be warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields and, Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hands.
