Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH HARRIS (YURYSTI) On Thursday, February 3, 2000 at 8:00 a.m., Joe quietly departed this life with his loving wife Joan by his side. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Tony, and sisters, Minnie, Susie and Stella. Left to mourn are his wife of 57 years, Joan; daughters, Sharon Eccles (Jim), Dale Eccles (Keith) and Bonnie Brown (Ron) grandchildren, peter (Caroline), Shawna, Joey, Lisa and Sara; and great-grandchildren, Krystal and Connor; as well as his brother Mike (Dorothy) in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. Joe was born in Winnipeg, December 15, 1917 and served in the Second World War. He was a 50 year member of the Weston and then Prince Edward Legions. He retired after 45 years of employment with The Bay (downtown). Our thanks to Dr. L. Wozney and all specialists for their care; to D.V.A. (Dept. of Veteran Affairs), especially Fayde Luna, for making his last years so comfortable, the staff of 2E Riverview Health Care Center whose therapy allowed him to return home, and the ambulance workers, Emergency Dept. staff, and especially all staff of 3E at Concordia Hospital for their compassion and outstanding care. Cremation has taken place at Joes request.
