Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL KATHLEEN CHASSIE (PAQUIN) (Nee Chipperfield) Quietly with the dignity which was characteristic of her life, Pearl Kathleen Chassie slipped away from us on February 1, 2000. She was the much beloved matriarch of our family, the central figure around whom five generations revolved to one degree or another. Although we are left behind to mourn her passing we are aware of all the beautiful memories she provided during our many years with her. Among her many attributes were her gentleness, generosity, her sense of humour and least of all her instant rapport and love with any and all children. Pearl was born on October 11, 1897 thus living through three different centuries during her one hundred and two years. She lived most of her adult life in Winnipeg, although part of her childhood was spent in Fernie, B.C. until her family was forced to vacate due to the fire that destroyed most of the city in the early 1900s. She was predeceased by her parents her two husbands Wellington Paquin, and Frederick Chassie. Nine siblings, her son Hebert Paquin, granddaughter Della Paquin and grandson Kirk Paquin. Those of us left by her passing are; daughters Celia Rudzik (Harry), Myra Persona (Bill), June Young (Jack), sons Richard Chassie, Gordon Paquin (Shiela), Thomas Paquin, nieces and nephews. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. In keeping with Pearls wishes cremation has taken place and a service celebrating her life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2000. Interment and reception will follow. Pearls family is thankful for the care given by Dr. Alvi and by the gentle attentions shown by the staff at the Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers those who prefer may wish to make donations to the charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
