Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER L. FOURNIER Walter Lawrence passed away in Winnipeg, MB on February 3, 2000 and was born in Thunder Bay, ON on November 26, 1918. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Margaret Joyce February 3, 1993. An Air Force Veteran of the Second World War, he pursued a successful career in sales and was an avid golfer. He was a kind and charitable man, particularly involved in sponsoring underprivileged children. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his son, William W. Fournier of Winnipeg; daughters, Sharon Vale of Thunder Bay, ON, Arlene Maass of California and his sisters, Doris deLong, Laura Lillie, Pearl Dicks and Ruby Carlson; seven grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Green. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, February 5 at 3:00 p.m. at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel 357 DesMeurons St., Winnipeg. On Monday, February 7, a viewing will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. from Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 226 South Syndicate Ave., Thunder Bay followed by Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 8 at the St. Agnus Roman Catholic Parish at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Thunder Bay.
