PAUL A. BOZYK Suddenly at his home on February 2, 2000, Paul Bozyk passed away to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Kay. Paul was born to Rev. Pantelemon and Raifta Bozyk in Winnipeg on March 9, 1918. He attended Norquay and Immaculate Conception schools and graduated from St. Pauls High School. He married Kathryn Patrician on October 24, 1942. After working at the cordite plant during the Second World War, he joined Ray-O-Vac (Canada). He retired from the company as purchasing agent in 1982. Paul was predeceased by his wife Kay; and his sister Luba. Left to remember him are his children, Patricia, Barbara, Christopher (Sandra) of Vancouver, and Gregory (Angel) his grandchildren, Krispin of Calgary, Stacy of Ottawa, and Trevor of Vancouver, and his great-granddaughter Alexandra of Calgary. He is also survived by his brother Rev. Vladimir Bozyk, his sister Olga Pavlova Metz of Coral Gables, Florida; several nieces, nephews and friends. Paul loved his children very much and was very proud of them. Together with Kay he sacrificed much and gave them gifts of faith, love, music and education. Paul was a man of faith, devoted to God and the Church. As a young man he was active in the Ukrainian Catholic Youth. A longtime member of Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, he served as Cantor for many years. Paul loved music, singing, dancing, discussions on politics and sports, and a good laugh. Paul enjoyed life and overcame with inner strength the difficulties that came his way. Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 6, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave. at Harrow St. and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Sholdak, principal celebrant, assisted by Fr. Andrew Wach. Service will terminate at the church with cremation to follow. Private family interment will take place. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Pauls memory to a charity of your choice. We love you, Dad, and miss you. You will be in our hearts forever.
