SHERRY CHRISTIE (STRANDEN) With a lump in our throats, we are sorry to announce the passing of our lovely Sherry on February 2, 2000 at the Grace Hospital with her family by her side. Sherry leaves to mourn her mother, Helen Stranden; her mate and husband of 23 years Walter; the lights of her life, son Cam and daughter Britt; special nephew Derrick McBride; mother-in-law Mary Christie; brother-in-law Al McBride; in laws Jim, Romie, Ben, Sarah and Darren Christie and Janet, Richard, Erin and Michael Feldman in Calgary; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sherry was born and raised in Garden City. She flew with Air Canada for thirteen years but once her first child was born, her entire life was dedicated to her family, her home and her yard, all of which she loved so much. We wish to thank so many special people and groups and hope we dont forget anyone. Julie and Lori for working every day with Sherrys much loved flowers; Terry for helping my mother with something we will cherish forever; all the friends, relatives and neighbours for their visits, meals, prayers and inspiration; fellow Neon Products employees for Christmas goodies and encouragement; the E.K. Lions Club for their support; the doctors and entire oncology staff at the Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre; Ken Cox and the V.O.N.s; and all those that have and are giving Britt special attention. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive (behind The Keg on Portage). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sherrys name to: The Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St.
