MARCEL DE SUTTER It is with the greatest sorrow we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Marcel Camiel De Sutter, aged 75, on January 31, 2000, in Phoenix, Arizona. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Irene; daughter Gayle (Wayne Vokey) sons, Garry (Nicole), Glenn (Denise) five grandchildren, Jason, Lonn, Janele, Stacey and Kurt; brother George (Famie) in-laws, Joan De Sutter, Maurice and Irene Goethals, Jean Goethals and Lorne Pottruff. Marcel leaves nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends across Canada, Europe and the United States. Marcel was predeceased by his brother Maurice and sister Yvonne. Marcel was born in St. Alphonse, Man. on December 19, 1924. After recuperating in Britain during the Second World War, he returned to St. Boniface Manitoba where he met and married Irene (Goethals) his wife of 52 years. He worked at various occupations before being employed with F.W. Woolworth for over 25 years and then several more at the Bank of Nova Scotia. He was a lifetime member of the Belgian Club. During retirement Marcel and Irene enjoyed many summers at Black Sturgeon Lake in Ontario and as snowbirds in Apache Junction Arizona. Marcel will always be remembered by his family and friends for his great sense of humour and as a loving caring individual who lived life to the fullest. If a mans life is measured by his friends, Marcel was a very rich person indeed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation (Heart and Stroke) 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2H 2A6. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one Our chain will link again. Well miss you
