Bud was born in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in 1901. She graduated from Misericordia School of Nursing as an R.N. in 1927. Her nursing career was mostly in the status of a private nurse. She was also a life member of Misericordia Nurses Alumni. In 1948 she married Sam Hutton. He was the assistant manager of the Fort Garry Hotel. In 1970 they moved to a small acreage in McMunn, Manitoba where they enjoyed 18 years of quiet country living. They loved to garden, and to share it with their friends. They cherished their pets and treated them like family. Bud loved to entertain; she was an excellent cook and loved her wine with dinner. They returned to Winnipeg in 1988 where Bud continued to drive her car to the age of 91. She enjoyed amazing good health until she suffered a stroke in November 1997. Then for the last two years she was confined to a wheel chair. She was predeceased by her husband Sam in September 1994, brothers Joseph, Julian, Lucien, Armand and Louis and sisters Lucie Frossais and Helen Angelonie. She is survied by sisters-in-law; Germaine Bodin, Granby, Quebec, Helen and Barbara Hutton of Ottawa, Ontario, also several nieces and nephews. A great loss is felt by a very close friend, Doreen Bissett. Doreen spent many hours and energy making both Bud and Sams later years more comfortable and secure. Her contribution to the Huttons was one of love and caring. A special thanks to Dr. Burke and staff of Tuxedo Villa, especially Station 2 and 3 for their kind and compassionate care given to Clem. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Father Michael Koryluk officiating.
