SAMUEL JACOBSON Passed away at the age of 74 years after a short illness in Winnipeg. Sam was a well known retail merchant in Melfort, Saskatchewan for 35 years. During that time Sam and his late wife Razel owned and operated Jacobson Shoes on Main Street. He was an active member of the Melfort Masonic Lodge and a willing community volunteer for such organizations as the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Meals on Wheels. Sam is survived by his daughter Sybil Stokoloff, partner Stan Michalak and foster granddaughter Alex Black of Winnipeg and his son and daughter-in-law Saul and Ginger Jacobson and grandchildren Matthew and Philip of Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Manitoba Transplant Program, GE441-820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
