PIETRO MAZZEI Peacefully, on February 4 at the Charleswood Care Home, Pietro Mazzei, beloved husband of Concetta. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Concetta; daughter Isabella and husband Benito Faralli; children Guido and wife Marilyn, Josephine and Amelio; daughter Maria Coutu and Edward Coutu; children Melissa and husband Timo Harju and Edward Jr. and son Gino and wife Mary and their daughter Gabriella and two great grandchildren. Pietro is also survived by his sisters Serafina (Giacamo) Torchia of Winnipeg and Carmela Guzzi of Amato and many nieces and nephews. Pietro was predeceased by his infant daughter Graziella; brothers Frank and Antonio; sisters Rachella Scarpino and Rosalia Garritano. Pietro was born in Amato, Italy on September 27, 1914. He immigrated to Winnipeg in December, 1949. Concetta and his children followed in May, 1952. Concetta and his family were the most important part of his life. Both his children and grandchildren will remember the love and devotion he flourished upon them. We cherish his memory and we celebrate his life. Vigil will be on Monday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. with Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8 at Christ the King, 847 St. Marys Road. The celebrant will be Father Gerry Ward. Entombment to follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum. The pallbearers will be his six grandchildren.
