MERVYN R. GORK It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Mervyn R. Gork on February 3, 2000. Merv was born on September 6, 1927 in Riding Mountain, Man., where he spent his childhood years. Farming was an integral part of who he was, as was shown to us through his passion for gardening. Mervyn was a proud man, he worked for the C.N.R. for 35 years and retired in 1989. He was an outstanding provider and a dedicated family man. He developed many wonderful friendships throughout his lifetime and had many hobbies including, bowling, cards and games. He also loved to build and repair. We have been truly blessed to receive the treasured gifts Mervyn offered us, humour, music and and appreciation for simple abundance. His arms enveloped us with compassion, support and infinite love. He is reunited with God and his son, Daniel; parents, Joseph and Mary; brother, Albert and sister, Bertha. His teachings and legacy live on in the hearts of his wife, Rose Marie; daughters and grandchildren, Sandra Annette (Andy) Potrebka, Angela, AJ, Ally; Tanis Rose (Norman) Klopak, Curtis and Jaclyn; Cheryl Gork. he is also survived by his sister, Irene Bieganski; brother-in-law, William Stewart; sister-in-law, Betty Gork and many others. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road.
