ARTHUR BROUGHTON Suddenly at his home on February 6, 2000, Arthur Broughton passed away at the age of 83 years. Arthur was born on August 10, 1916 and lived all his life in Winnipeg. He was employed by Imperial Tobacco Limited for 40 years, retiring in 1981. Arthur was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed football and golf. He is survived by his sisters, Lillian, Winnipeg, Florence Brown, Vancouver; niece Shirley Broughton; nephews, Gordon Richardson and Russell Broughton, Winnipeg, William Brown, Vancouver and their families, as well as his loving friend Marjory Harvey. He was predeceased by his sisters, Margaret, Mae, Alice (Richardson) and brothers, Sam, Joe, John and James. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street with Rose Ferries officiating. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Scott Young for his long time care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthurs memory to a charity of ones choice.
