Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARD H. LAURIN Gerard, 75 years old, of West Palm Beach, Florida, died suddenly from a heart attack on Tuesday, January 25, 2000. Born in Lorette, Manitoba, he received his education at St. Boniface College. Managing the family farm in Dufresne was his first love but regrettably had to leave for health reasons. He moved to Florida in 1950, worked in an Italian restaurant and later became chef until his retirement in 1990. He was predeceased by his son Gerald in 1998, his parents, Arthur and Evelina Laurin and his brother-in-law Rosaire Jeanson. He is lovingly remembered by Gisele Laurin of West Palm Beach, Fl.; two daughters, Jacqueline and her husband Robert Olshaker of Arlington, Va, Michelle (Richard Ebben) of Phoenix, Az; a son Marc and daughter-in-law Renata Sek and two grandchildren, Marcus and Samaria Laurin of Sarasota, Fl. He will be sadly missed by his sister Claire Jeanson; nieces and nephews, Eveline (Paul) Delorme, Louise (Ronald) Boucher, Gerard, Edouard (Joanne), Fernand (Joanne) and Lionel Jeanson; special cousins, Maria, Alma, Emile and Armand (Marcelle) Laurin, all of Winnipeg and many more cousins and friends. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Anns Catholic Church in West Palm Beach. Cremation has taken place and ashes were scattered on the sea at the same place as his son Geralds in Jupiter, Fl.
