JACOB (JAKE) DOERKSEN C.M.A. 1926 - 2000 On Saturday, February 5, 2000 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Jake Doerksen, age 73 years of Winnipeg, formerly of Winkler, went to his eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Rosabel (nee Elias) of 50 years; daughter Glorianna and husband Ray St. Germain of Winnipeg, and their children, Chrystal and Rob Roy of Grunthal, Cathy St. Germain of Vancouver, BC., Ray St. Germain Jr. of Nashville, TN, David Joseph St. Germain and Sherry-Rose St. Germain, both of Winnipeg; son Brad Doerksen and fiancee Hilda Hayes of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Jeff, Jordon, Catherine and Cody; two sisters, Helen Krahn of Winnipeg, MaryAnn and Ed Wiebe of Vancouver, BC, three brothers, Harry and Margaret Doerksen of Plumas; John and Satya Doerksen of Vancouver, Bill and Lillian Doerksen of Vancouver; one sister-in-law Diane (Peter) Doerksen of Winnipeg, and their families. He was predeceased by brother Peter (Diane) Doerksen in January of 1999. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at Wiebe Funeral Home Winkler (121 8th St.) from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 9 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, Winnipeg (4000 Portage Ave.) from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. with a devotional, and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church, Winkler (1350 Pembina) with Rev. Dale Dueck officiating. Interment will follow at the Winkler Cemetery.
