Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH McKAY Peacefully, after a short illness, Kenneth McKay, age 82 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on February 3, 2000. He was born in Winnipeg September 4, 1917 to Ken and Besse McKay. Ken was employed for 35 years in the Hotel Industry in Winnipeg and spent the last few years leading to his retirement in 1984 as a driver with Unicity Taxi. He enjoyed working with the public. Ken especially enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren and always looked forward to his Tuesday night bingo at the Ft. Rouge Legion. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth, mother Besse and sister Kathleen. Left to mourn are 15 children, Kenneth (Marcella), Jerry (Susan), Norma, Bobby, Brian, Ron, Cliff (Ann), Margaret-Ann, Sandra Towns (Brent), Roxanne, Kerry, James, John, Pamela (Rodney Fraser), Richard; 22 grandchildren, as well as several great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn Margaret McKay and Isabella Penner. Special thanks to the staff of the 7th Floor at the Health Sciences Centre for all their care and kindness. Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday evening (tonight), February 8 between 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel. Cremation will follow the viewing on Tuesday evening and ash interment will be held on Wednesday, following the service. You will always be loved and remembered, Dad.
