Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGANETHA (NETTIE) REIMER (nee ESAU) Peacefully at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, surrounded by her children, Nettie Reimer passed away on February 5, 2000 at the age of 90 years. Nettie was predeceased by an infant son Jacob; husband William in 1987; daughter-in-law Edith Reimer; and great-grandson Michael McCullough. She leaves to mourn her passing seven children, John Reimer, Edna (Jake) Rempel, Tena (Jack) Loewen, Helen (Abe) Klassen, Margaret (Jake) Harms, Ernie (Stefanie) Reimer, Mary Ann (Bruce) Oliver; grandchildren, Bill, Dianne, Ken, Paul, Cathy, Shirley, Dennis, Rick, Arlene, Terry, Dale, Beverly, Karen, Sheryl, Gloria, Lucille, Eileen, Patti, Josephine, Wendell, Danny, Dana, Audrey, T.J., Jenny; and 30 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister Margaret Wiebe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Nettie was born in St. Joseph, MB on June 12, 1909. She married William Reimer on March 31, 1929, and they were married for 58 years, until his death. They raised their family in the Kane and Lowe Farm areas. Nettie left the farm to move to an apartment in Morris in 1987 after William died. Her next move was to the Morris Manor, where she remained until she moved to the Eventide Home in Rosenort. She was forced to leave Eventide during the flood of 1997. She then moved to the Red River Valley Lodge. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends. A special thank you goes out to the nurses and staff at the Red River Valley Lodge. There will be viewing at Morris Funeral Home, Wednesday (today) from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by viewing and service at 7:00 p.m. at the Red River Valley Lodge. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Kronsweide Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, located two miles south and one mile west from the west end of Lowe Farm. Interment in the Kronsweide Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the church. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Action International, or the Red River Valley Lodge.
