Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE HRECHANY (KAY HERCHEN) Peacefully, on Sunday, February 6, 2000, Kay Hrechany, age 85 years, passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home. Kay was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph in 1981 and two brothers, John and Bill Plazio. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, sons, Lloyd (Roselle) Herchen, Don (Maureen) Herchen, and daughter, Sandra (Joe) Konechny; grandchildren, Cheryl, Cindy, David and Tim. She will also be sadly missed by five siblings, Ann (Steve) Oleksewycz, Roy (Sophie) Plazio, Peter (Rose) Plazio, Margaret Kizlyk, and Sophie Magryta; nieces, nephews and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff on St. Johns Ward at Holy Family Nursing Home and Dr. Babick for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, February 9 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. with Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Tyndall, MB. Pallbearers will be Allan Oleksewycz, Johnny Klimchuk, Wally Hrechany, Eugene Yakimoski, Lawrence Overby and Marshall Chiborak. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Kays memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, R3E 9Z9. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements; 586-8044.
