Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUIS ALEXANDER WERBICKI On February 6, 2000, surrounded by his family, Mr. Louis Werbicki passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness. Louis was born and raised in Transcona where he graduated from Central School. Starting at the CNR in 1944, he retired in 1987 after 43 years of service. In the years before his illness, Louis was actively involved in St. Michaels Church. He was a devoted husband and family man who enjoyed many activities with his family, such as camping and going to the beach. Other interests, such as his many hobbies and crafts, included his favourite, gardening. He was especially proud of his fruit trees. Louis was a staunch supporter of unions. He would spend many selfless hours working on its members behalf. Louis was predeceased by his parents, George and Minnie; wife Anne; and son Greg. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his son Gary; brother Walter (Mary) of Scotland; Aunt Anne Ross; cousin and close friend Ron (Enda) Ross of Toronto; nieces, Diane Korolyk and Nancy Hubert; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Park Manor for all of their compassionate care and support over the years. Prayers will be offered on Thursday evening, February 10, at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Divine Liturgy to follow on Friday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St., with Msgr. V. Bozyk officiating. Interment at Transcona Cemetery. If friends so desire, a donation in Louis memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
