Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVETTE MANNESS Yvette Manness passed away suddenly in the Victoria General Hospital, on February 7, 2000. Yvette was born in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba on October 14, 1928. Mamere will be deeply missed by her husband of 51 years Cecil, son Bob and his wife Teresa, son Rick and his wife Wendy, son Norm and his wife Judy; grandchildren, Mark, Joshua, Sarah, Shannon and David; brother Ed and his wife Margaret Guertin; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Rose Guertin and her grandson Christopher Manness. Yvette was a very active community member. The soup pot at the hockey rink was always full of her delicious homemade soup. She was always ready to help whenever the need was there. Yvette was also an active member in the local Legion Auxiliary No. 208 and the United Church Womens Group as well as a founding member of the Womens Institute. Yvette was always a gracious host and welcomed everyone (stranger or friend) with open arms into her home and never let them leave hungry. There will be a funeral service on Friday, February 11 at 11:30 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, followed by interment in the Avonlea Cemetery in Domain, Manitoba. Pallbearers will be Messrs. Mark Manness, David Teerhuis, Michael Guertin, Kyle Pelland, Jim Manness, and Ronald Manness.
