Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID KOZUSKA David Kozuska, beloved husband of Elizabeth of 17 years, loving father of Lindsay and Allyson, died on Sunday, February 6, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer. David will be sadly missed by his mother, Anne Kozuska of Kelowna, B.C.; brothers, Nick (Holly) Kozuska of Calgary, Alta. and Michael (Leanne) Kozuska of Camrose, Alta.; brother-in-law Robert (Tanis) Wilson of Winnipeg, Man.; sister-in-law Cathy (Doug) Court of Winnipeg, Man.; mother and father-in-law Marie and Bob Wilson of Winnipeg, Man., and Elizabeths grandmother Olive Bere, of Pilot Mound, Man. David is survived by his special nephews, Stephen, Paul, Graham, Brendan, Rory and David and nieces Chelsea and Janna. David was born in Winnipeg, on August 20, 1959. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1981 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. David and Elizabeth were married in Winnipeg on June 30, 1982. David worked in Oklahoma and Alaska until 1985 and then he and Elizabeth were transferred to Calgary. Through their years in Calgary they have made many friends but always missed their ties to Winnipeg. David was very proud of the company he formed with his good friend and business partner Gregg Peterson. After a struggle at first, AQRIT Industries has become a thriving company with three loyal employees whom David was proud to call friends. Kevin Cannady, Bryan Kasperski and Rob Lesnie. All who knew and loved David, know that he was as determined to beat cancer as he was to make AQRIT successful. Davids memorial service was held at McDougall United Church, 8516 Athabasca St. S.E., Calgary, Alta., on Thursday, February 10. In lieu of flowers, it is Davids request that donations be sent to the Southern Alberta Cancer Research Centre, 3330 Hospital Dr. N.W., Calgary, Alta., T2N 4N1, in care of Dr. Randy Johnston.

I remember Dave as a happy-go-lucky and popular Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Manitoba between 1977 and 1981. We were also teammates on our class' awful Mech. Eng. intramural hockey team (I don't recall us winning a game, frankly). But, the after-game parties were lots of fun, and Dave always tried to make the more introverted ones, like myself, feel comfortable and welcome. My condolences to his family and friends. He was a great guy. - Posted by: David Greatrix (Classmate, University of Manitoba) on: Dec 15, 2014
