Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREGINALD STURDEE SCHOLEY Reginald Sturdee Scholey, retired Major, Member of the British Empire, Canadian Forces Decoration, Halifax, passed away Friday, October 22, 1999 at home, at the age of 83. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he was a son of the late William Arthur and Clarice May (Linden) Scholey. During the Second World War he served overseas with CANLOAN in the UK., Italy and North West Europe and was awarded the M.B.E. for services in Italy. He retired from the R.C.O.C. in 1965 and as Commander of the Nova Scotia Division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires in 1986. He is survived by son Jack (Diane, Nathan, Mark and Lucy), Dartmouth; daughter Valerie, Halifax; stepson Ivan (Masako, Bobby) Yokosuka, Japan; brother Bill (Pat), Vancouver, BC. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice; brothers Alfred, Jack and sisters, Clarice (Girling) and Gertrude (Clarkson). A memorial service was held October 22, 1999 at Cruikshanks Funeral Home, Halifax. Donations to War Amps or Salvation Army.
