Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILE (PARENT) DUPUIS Quietly and peacefully, surrounded by her family, Cecile (Parent) Dupuis slipped away from this earth on February 8, 2000 at the age of 89 years. She was the much beloved mother and grandmother of our family, the central figure around whom five generations lived and loved. Although we are left to miss her daily presence among us, we are enriched by all the beautiful memories of her quiet sense of humour and examples of daily Christian generosity and kindness. Cecile was born into a family of 16 children on May 26, 1910 in St. Joseph, Manitoba. She married Rosaire Dupuis on November 7, 1934. Side by side they worked their land in Ste. Elizabeth. They had six children, Lionel (Lucie), Denise (Raymond), Paul (Irene), Gilbert (Paulette), Ghislain (Leonne), and Ginette (Lorne). She leaves 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren to remember her gentle smile and giving manner. Cecile was predeceased by her husband Rosaire; son-in-law Lorne Slusarchuk; six sisters, eight brothers, and many sisters and brothers-in-law. She is survived by one sister Marie Beaudette; sisters-in-law, Adeline Parent, Ernestine Parent, Odile Parent, Yvonne Dupuis, and Marie Dupuis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Armand and Claire Desharnais, Leandre and Emelda Dupuis, Raymond and Madeleine Dupuis, Georges and Agathe Paquette. Viewing will take place on Saturday, February 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the St. Jean Baptiste Parish Cemetery.
