Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIDA NUSGART (nee BLUMBERG) Peacefully, with her family by her side, on February 8, 2000, at home, after a lengthy illness, borne with patience and courage. Idy was the beloved wife of the late Max M. Nusgart; mother to Paul and Ruth-Carol; devoted grandmother to Robyn, Steven and John Feldman; Jonathon and Kathy Nusgart, Danielle and Neil Goodman and Ryan and Kyle; proud great-grandmother to Julia, Ethan and Nicholas; dear sister of Hetty Hochman and Shirley Shinoff and sister-in-law of Maxine Blumberg and Beatty Nozick. Predeceased by her parents, John and Milly Blumberg and her brother Saul. Idy was born and raised in Winnipeg, part of the Aberdeen Avenue crowd. Actively involved for many years with Hadassah and the Jewish Community of Winnipeg. She travelled extensively throughout the world with her husband crossing many continents and experiencing a wide range of cultures. Her creative and spiritual energy was shared among those she loved. Her legacy will continue with her family. She will be forever missed. Our many thanks to Dr. J. Khokhar, Dr. Peter Kirk, the wonderful home care team from the St. Boniface Hospital: Diane McWhirter, Evergreena, Nimfa, Joan and the loving care from Normie and Myrna. A graveside service was held at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at her residence until Sunday evening.
