Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT GOTTFRED Peacefully, on Friday, February 11, 2000, Robert passed away in the presence of his family at the Victoria General Hospital. Robert will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife Ethel; son Craig and wife Mary Lynn, children, Colin and Natasha; daughter Sheila and husband Norman, children Leanne and Cory; son Ken and wife Shelley, children, Samantha and Jonathan; daughter Nancy and husband Bulent and sisters, Marjorie Dawson and Ruth Primeau. Robert was born on June 25, 1930 in Winnipeg and lived in Fort Garry all his life. He also enjoyed many happy hours with his family at West Hawk Lake. He was a lifetime member of the Fort Garry United Church. For many years, he was an active member of the Winnipeg Rotary Club and more recently, the Fort Garry Rotary. Robert graduated from the University of Manitoba with his degree in Civil Engineering. He spent the majority of his career with Nelson River Construction, where he shared his passion for his work and developed an expertise that was recognized in his profession. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the compassion and care shown by the nurses of the Victoria General Hospital and Dr. David Young. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fort Garry United Church Memorial Fund. Roberts memorial service will be held on Monday, February 14, at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd., with the Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Upper Hall. A private family committal service has taken place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
