EVELYN STEWART Evelyn Stewart passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 11, 2000 at Heritage Lodge, Winnipeg. Evelyn was born at Shoal Lake, Manitoba on June 23, 1909, daughter to Ethel and John Lamont. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Donald (Dan) Stewart; by her mother and father; her daughter Donalda Quinsey; brother Hector Lamont; brothers-in-law, Edward Stratton, Don Martin and Robert Waylett. She is lovingly remembered by her son Charles D. Stewart, wife Irene; sisters, Marion Stratton, Louise Martin, Anne Passey husband Jim, Margaret Waylett and son-in-law John Quinsey; by her grandchildren, Shirley, Don (Heather), Lorraine, Maureen (Dennis), Susan (Randy), John (Randa), Shawn (Mandy) by fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a gifted artist, enjoyed gardening, family gatherings and travelling. Next to her love of family she loved the outdoors and a hard active life in farming was one of her greatest enjoyments. She was a long time member of Calvary Temple. We as family proudly carry her love, compassion, her strength and determination. She was truly a wonderful person. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Mackenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, Man. Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Lilyfield Cemetery (corner of Road #70 and Sturgeon Road). Flowers gratefully declined, friends who so desire may make donations to The Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., or charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their thanks to all staff of Deer Lodge Tact Unit for your great care. A sincere thank you to nurses and staff at Heritage Lodge for your wonderful care of Evelyn during the past nine years, and especially for your excellent care, compassion and support during the last week.
