NORA MOODY (nee GEORGE) Quietly and peacefully on February 12, 2000 at Oakview Place, Nora passed away with family at her side. Nora was predeceased by her parents, Assef and Sophie George; her brothers John and George and her sisters Ann and Grace. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alec and her beloved daughter Jan Dowling (Jim). Four sisters Mary, Kay, Mabel (Bob), Florence (Bob) and several nieces and nephews. Nora was born in Brandon, Manitoba where she grew up then moved to Winnipeg to work. She spent several years at the T. Eaton Co. where she made special friends over the years. She was a very caring and loving person, who loved to garden, sew, bike ride and listen to her favourite music. A special thanks to all the staff at Oakview Place for the care, kindness and support given over the past several years. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, 885-9715. If friends so desire a memorial donation may be made in her name to Extendicare/Oakview Place, 2395 Ness Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 1A5.
