ROBERT "BOB" NORMAN BILES With dignity and courage, Robert "Bob" Norman Biles passed away February 11, 2000 at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bob was born February 7, 1948 in Glenboro, Manitoba. He attended one-room schoolhouses at Hecla and Mimir before completing his education in Glenboro. He became interested in the plumbing and heating business working for his uncle in Glenboro which led to a career that took him to Brandon, Winnipeg, Vancouver and then back to Brandon. He attained his gasfitters license and in 1995 began employment with Centra Gas in Brandon. Bobs warmth, passion and celebration of life touched many people. He loved spending time with his friends and family. His sense of humour, compassion and sensitivity enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. Bobs love of music grew deeper with time and the Minnedosa Rock Festival in the company of friends was very special to him. Bob was an avid sports fan enjoying everything from hockey to football and Frisbee and darts. In the last couple of years, he had taken up golfing and developed a love for the game. Bob leaves to mourn his passing his beloved daughter Tannis Biles (Alden Moreau) and grandchildren Breanna and Brooke, of Neepawa, Man.; and beloved daughter Carey Biles of Brandon; mother and father Ann and Bill of Glenboro, Man.; sister Wendy (Wayne) Duchart and children Jessica and Megan, of Kelowna, B.C.; brother Dan (Maureen) Biles and children Carter and Logan of Winnipeg; sister Kathy (Will) Bolley and children Matthew and Samantha of Brandon; brother Keith (Debbie) Biles and children Kurt and Craig of Glenboro and brother Randy (Marlene) Biles and children Candace and Brennan of Wawanesa, Man., as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, Brandon, on Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dorrie Flook officiating. Interment to follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. At the request of Bobs family, flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 - 1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8. Arrangements are in care of Brockie Donovan, 1-800-897-5694.
