Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD JOHN GIESBRECHT On February 12, 2000 at his residence, Ron Giesbrecht, beloved husband of Helen of Winnipeg, died at the age of 71 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Brenda and Sheila (Richard Boyd) and one son Garth (Sarah Kerrigan) three sisters, Ivy Peters (Jack), Lorna Crean (Jim) and Evelyn Giesbrecht; two brothers, Dennis (Rose) and Harvey (Judy) and relatives and friends. Ron was born in Winkler on October 31, 1928. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and was employed at the Manitoba Telephone System. He married Helen Penner on March 30, 1964. He worked at Red River Community College for twenty-five years until his retirement in 1989. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, Carter and Stafford, with interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Walter and Edith Braun, Ernie and Anne Braun, and Henry and Mary Sawatzky. Visitation on Monday, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 9Z9 or Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr., R3T 5K9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
