Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JAMES (BILL) DEVERILL Bill died peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, February 12, 2000 at Tudor House Personal Care Home in Selkirk, Manitoba. Bill will be lovingly missed by his wife Doreen of Stonewall and children, Brenda (Rae) Kujanpaa, Glenn (Monique) and Colleen (Ian) Munroe and grandchildren, Jennifer, Dale and Stephanie. He is in the thoughts and prayers of sister Ellen (William) Eirikson of Eriksdale; brother George (Joan) and sister-in-law Edith and families of Edmonton and Uncle George Sever and family of Sioux Lookout. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Dolly; sister Daisy and brother John. Bill was born August 3, 1936 in Eriksdale and spent his entire life working with motors and heavy construction equipment. Doreen and Bill were married in October of 1958 and lived in Seven Sisters for 11 years before moving to their house in Stonewall. Bill was a licensed Hoisting Engineer and his work took him throughout Manitoba. He also travelled to most of the other provinces installing sewer and water, gas pipeline, building bridges and erecting power lines, and for the last 17 years he worked in the Public Works Department for the Town of Stonewall. He truly enjoyed his times of camping, barbecuing and golfing with family and friends. Sincere appreciation to the dedicated staff at Tudor House for their kind and professional care during the past four months. Their support helped Bill and Doreen through the trials of Lou Gehrigs disease. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS (Lou Gehrigs) Society or a charity of your choice. ALS Society, 6 Adelaide St. E., Ste. 220, Toronto, Ontario, M5C 1H6. A memorial service will be held in the Stonewall United Church on Thursday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Mary Best will officiate. The service will conclude at the church. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
