LUKE GARY HAROLD HOLLAND 1979 - 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Luke Holland in Winnipeg on February 10, 2000. Luke leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his father Jack Holland; his mother Gisele Fazackerley; his stepfather William Fazackerley; his sister Sharlene Pollock of Calgary, Alta.; his maternal grandparents, Emmanuel and Yvonne Morin of Vermilion Bay, Ont.; Uncle Roger (Sharon), Aunt Lynda (Wil), Uncle Daniel (Rose), Aunt Joanne (Ray), Aunt Marilyn; many cousins and very special friend Holly Taylor. Luke was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Florence Holland. Luke graduated from Kildonan-East Collegiate in 1997. He was employed by Volvo MB Truck Centre for the past two years. He leaves many, many friends who will always miss his easy going ways and will remember him as a caring and sensitive young man. Luke enjoyed life to the fullest and didnt allow the little things to bother him. He was known by those close to him as the "Oh Well" kid. Luke had a passion for cars, especially his Volkswagon Beetle, which he had rebuilt with his father. It was his pride and joy. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, February 16 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral service to follow on Thursday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. also at the chapel with Rev. Victoria Shaw-Zdanowski officiating. Interment in Transcona Cemetery. Lukes pallbearers will be his cousins, Michael Roussin, Jessie Morin, Richard Timchuk and close friends, Greg Boulet, David Hough and Brad Lalonde. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada, 306 - 2265 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 5J3, would be greatly appreciated. Luke will be sadly missed, but he will always be with us. Luke touched the life of everyone he met and everyone was a better person for it. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

  • I had the chance to work with Luke at the Volvo MB truck center on a job training posting, and can say that I am all the better for it, he took great pride in his work, and was proud, I think, to pass on what he knew to me, RIP buddy, you were a great person, and worker, and I take great pride to call you a friend and colleague, you taught me a lot about trucks and about life as a whole, I'll miss you. - Posted by: Charles pearce (Colleauge ) on: Apr 12, 2015
