It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend, Fredrick Peter Epps Jr., on February 13, 2000. Fred was born on April 5, 1951, where he lived his life, in Selkirk, Manitoba, with his wife Carol and son Todd. He was currently employed at Bristol Aerospace in Winnipeg and was a past president of the Selkirk Lions Club. Fred was a friendly outgoing man who enjoyed many sports including golfing, fishing, and most of all, hockey. He was the current manager for the Selkirk Jr. B. Fishermen and truly enjoyed the interpersonal relationships of this position. He enjoyed being with family and friends and to him, all occasions of gatherings were special. Fred is survived by his wife Carol; their son Todd and his wife Kerry with grandson Joel; also left to mourn his passing are his mother and father, Fred and Marjorie; his brother Brock and his family; grandfather Peter Cyr, as well as extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. An evening prayer service and viewing will take place at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 17 at 3:00 p.m. also in the chapel, with Rev. John Hogerwaard officiating.
