JOAN MAUREEN SINGLETON (nee BELSKI) Peacefully on February 15, 2000, Joan passed away at the age of 57. She was predeceased by her husband Dave in 1996; and parents, Anne and Michael Belski. Joan will always be lovingly remembered by her daughter Wendy; sisters, Lorraine Kuz (Frank) and Georgina Boitson (Ken) as well as a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Joan met the challenges of her life with great strength and humour. Her easy smile and quick wit remain in the memories of those who knew her. Joan and Wendy express their deepest appreciation to all of the compassionate and professional care givers in Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital. Special thanks is also extended to Dr. Adrian Fine and the staff at the Peritoneal Dialysis Unit at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, donations may be made to the Kidney Research Fund No. 8803, Section Head, Section of Nephrology, St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. At Joans request, cremation has taken place with a private interment to follow. Joan and Wendys family and friends are invited to attend a reception on Monday, February 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the St. Norbert Arts and Cultural Centre, 100 Rue Des Ruines du Monastere.
