Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKELLY EDWARD SHARP Accidentally on Sunday, February 13, 2000, at the Portage District General Hospital, Kelly Edward Sharp of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Debbie Sharp, passed away at the age of 38 years. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 15 Tupper St., S., Portage la Prairie, MB, on Thursday, February 17 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Leith Saunders officiating. Interment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery. Kelly was born on June 9, 1961, son of Ray and Gail Sharp at Portage la Prairie, where he was raised and received his education. He later left home to work in logging camps in Northern British Columbia. He then went to Fort McMurray, AB where he was employed at Triple H Truck Shop for approximately eight years. During this time he took two trades, welding and heavy duty mechanics. He then moved on to Victoria, BC and was employed at Budget Steel until he returned home to Portage la Prairie in 1994. Kelly then started his own business named "Kellys Mobile Repairs" and later met and married wife Debbie on July 20, 1996. Kelly loved to spend time snowmobiling with his brother and friends and going out dancing and listening to music. He also enjoyed just being at home with his wife and Mindy (the family pet). He enjoyed doing yard work and socializing with friends and family. Kelly was a hard worker and took pride in his work. Predeceased by his grandparents, Anne and Peter Pidhoredecky, William Sharp; cousin Laurie Robinson, he leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Debbie; stepchildren, Jeff and Melissa Wood; parents-in-law, Arnold and Violet Carter. Also surviving is his grandmother, Isabelle Sharp; and parents, Ray and Gail Sharp; brother Mike (Heather) nephew Ryan and niece Genna; as well as his daughter Cassandra Moran of Victoria, BC; also many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Portage District General Hospital, Palliative Care, 425 - 5th St., S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8 or to a charity of your choice. The Omega Funeral Home in care of the arrangements.
